The Gómez Pareja family has been working in the olive tree culture for ancestral times. In 1954, Leoncio Gómez has began the industrial activity of the family and built his first mill in order to produce the olive oil from the olives.
As the activity was increasing and business expanded, the children incorporate and a company is created : Aceites Fuente Grande S.A. which includes the agricultural exploitation of the olive tree fields, the mill and the commercialisation of the olive oil in bulk.
In 1991, we started the packing of our olive oil and created GOMEOLIVA SA to bottle and commercialise our own olive oils. We created a brand with our family name “Gomeoliva”, and started our way to the quality.
In 1996 the Certification of Protected Origin is created in Priego de Córdoba, to whom belong the mill “Aceites Fuente Grande” and the commercialisation company “Gomeoliva”. We decided of a special brand for this extra virgin olive oil “Molino de Leoncio Gómez” which we want to be the image of the company for its quality, the serious and our future projection.
For the last three years, we have always tried to satisfy the most involved consumers with the environment and bet for the organic agriculture. All the fields belonging to the company, which are more than 200 Hectares, are being cultivated in an organic way, supervised by the C.A.A.E. (Andalou Comity of Organic Agriculture). To bottle this olive oil obtained from the olive trees fields which have not been in contact with any chemical product, we created the brand “Olivares de Leoncio Gómez”
